Terms

The plain version of what you agree to when you buy from us. Short on purpose. Consumer protection law in your province still applies over the top of anything here.

Who you're buying from

Steady Mile is a trade name of [Steady Mile legal entity — set BUSINESS_LEGAL_NAME], Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada [street address — set BUSINESS_ADDRESS]. GST/HST number [GST/HST number — set BUSINESS_GST_NUMBER]. Reach us at hello@steadymile.ca.

Prices and tax

  • All prices are in Canadian dollars. Shipping and GST/HST are shown as separate lines at checkout before you pay.
  • GST/HST is charged at the rate for the province the order ships to. If a price on the site is plainly wrong, we'll tell you before charging you and you can cancel.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe when you place the order. Your card is charged in CAD.

Your order

  • The order confirmation is our acceptance. Until then we can decline an order — for example if something sold out while it sat in your bag — and you won't be charged for it.
  • Printed-to-order pieces start production once the order is accepted. You can cancel by email before that; after that it becomes a return.
  • We'll ship to the address you give Stripe at checkout. Please check it — a parcel sent to a mistyped address may be lost or charged to re-send.

Delivery and risk

Delivery times are estimates (see Shipping). The item is yours, and the risk of loss passes to you, when the carrier delivers it to the address you gave. If it never arrives, tell us and we'll trace or replace it.

Returns

The Returns page is part of these terms: 30-day walk-test returns, faults remade at no charge, socks exchange-only once worn.

Our marks and designs

The Pathmark Steady Stack and the Steady Mile name are our marks. Buying a piece means you can wear it anywhere you like; it doesn't mean the artwork can be reproduced or sold on.

Peer walks

Peer walks are free, informal, and not a health service or therapy. You take part at your own pace and at your own risk; look after yourself and the people beside you.

The legal bit

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still stands.
  • We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order is the one that applies to that order.
